Come on in! Visiting is the only way you can become familiar with our facility and our friendly, professional and personable instructors. The visit will also allow you to ask important questions about the styles we teach here, and to inform us of your interest. We cater to every age – our children LOVE the mixture of discipline and fun in our Pee Wee and junior Karate class, and our adults crave the excitement of learning Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate. It’s the best workout around – combining very street effective skills with Martial Art values such as focus, discipline, confidence and a general sense of respect for yourself and everything around you.
If your curiosity peaks after the visit, sign up for an introductory/orientation session. This session is essentially a private lesson, one-on-one with you and our instructor. During the session, the instructor will teach you the basic instructions of your interest that will allow you to join the group classes with ease. Additionally, the session will allow you to determine whether you will like the manner in which we teach and the environment in which you will learn.
The introductory session is the best way to dip your feet in the water without having to worry about jumping in right away. There is no obligation to join after you take this session. Its sole purpose is to allow you to find out what we have to offer here and for us to find out about you.
If you like what we have to offer, find out which of our programs will best suit you. We have a variety of group and private lesson programs that will suit your needs. We have open enrollment all year round.
The Shorin Ryu style of karate was one of the first styles to be organized and systematized in Okinawa. It is based on both direct straight lines and circular lines of defense and offense. Essentially, Shorin Ryu Karate is self-defense oriented with its main emphasis on an immediate and totally effective counter attack. "Karate is properly applied only in those rare situations in which one really must either down another or be downed by him."
